Dining Experiences at the King & Queen
The King & Queen Hotel is lucky enough to have eight food and beverage establishments for our guests to enjoy in the West End Precinct. These award winning co-owned restaurants, bars and cafes are located in and around the hotel and provide the option for our guests to order room service or charge back from the restaurant straight onto their room account, making dining out as easy as possible.

Social Kitchen
Social Kitchen is one of the newest restaurants here in New Plymouth and it has quickly established a loyal following of foodies.
Selected as a top 100 finalist in Cuisine Magazine's Good Food Awards, Social Kitchen prides themselves on offering high quality food from their shared dining menu. Choose from a range of small plates which include the must-try Zany Zeus halloumi and blue cheese gnocchi. If you are after top quality produce their large plates are perfect with options such as Wairapapa lamb rack or Waikato angus eye fillet.
It is popular for its laid-back atmosphere which makes it a great spot to meet up with a group of friends, have a casual business meeting or celebrate a special occasion.
Monica’s Eatery
Monica’s Eatery is an environment inspired by the life and spirit of Monica Brewster. Highly respected by the local community, Monica was progressive for her time, innovative, creative and generous.
Open for breakfast and lunch Monica's is a modern café and restaurant conveniently located just across the road from King and Queen... and they have the best eggs benedict in town.
Itch Wine Bar
Itch Wine Bar offers a bespoke wine and cocktail experience located in New Plymouth’s vibrant West End Precinct.
Handpicked wines and spirits, beautiful cheeses and cured meats.

Frederic's
Located just a 2 minute walk from the hotel, Frederic’s warm atmosphere is great for a casual lunch or dinner.
The menu puts a modern twist on classic kiwi bar food, such as the ever-popular beef schnitzel accompanied by warm potato & bacon salad with house-made slaw.
They have a bar area in the front which is perfect for drinks and nibbles and the restaurant upstairs is great for a full dining experience. Their warm and friendly staff will make you feel right at home.
Snug Lounge
Located just around the corner from the hotel, Snug Lounge is a Japanese inspired restaurant.
They also have an extensive cocktail menu which can be enjoyed in their plush lounge or out in the courtyard.
Pop in for a drink before a show or concert or spend the evening there with family and friends. A must try is the pulled pork dumplings and bao buns!
Ms White's Pizza
Authentic Italian Wood fired Pizza’s and over 40 craft beers to choose from.
New Zealand’s best craft beer on tap – handpicked by us. Taps rotate weekly, pop in and see the staff for their ever changing list and recommendations.
Ms White is located in the West End Precinct Courtyard and open 7 days a week.
Ozone Coffee Roasters
Located in the courtyard of the hotel, the Bean Store of Ozone Coffee Roasters is perfect for your morning coffee and croissant. Their fair trade beans are roasted and ground on-site making it some of the freshest coffee in town!
They have a range of pastries, rolls, tarts and scones which you can enjoy with your coffee or take away.
Also new to the Bean Store is their small range of breakfast offerings including granola, avocado on toast, a bacon and egg muffin and an European inspired breakfast plate.
Public Kitchen
Public Kitchen is an artisan provider of bakery goods, breads and gelato.
Located across in the West End Precinct courtyard their doughnuts are a must try when in town!
