The New Zealand government has not regulated the hotel sector. On this basis, and in keeping with our philosophy of welcoming everyone through our doors, King & Queen Hotel Suites, New Plymouth continues to remain neutral.
This will be reviewed regularly and is subject to the following terms and conditions which are in line with Air New Zealand’s Covid-19 policy response:
From the 15th December all guests on arrival to the hotel will be required to either:
a) Show their vaccine passport (preferred option)
b) Provide proof of a negative Covid-19 test within the last 3 days (preferred option)
c) Take a Rapid Antigen Test (provided by the hotel on arrival at no cost). This option may delay the check in process by 15 minutes. A private space will be made available for guests. We will talk you through this process which is non-invasive and protects all guests and team members accordingly.
All hotel staff will carry out 2 Rapid Antigen Tests weekly to ensure they test negative for Covid. This provides additional reassurance as an extra layer of protection to our guests and team.
The health, safety and wellness of you, our guests and team continues to be our number one priority, including remaining impartial, and we are confident that the above processes will ensure a safe hotel for all to enjoy over the summer.
In line with the government mandate guests who are unvaccinated are unable to dine in house at any of the hotel’s restaurants, bars or cafes but can access room service or choose to use contactless (takeaway). However guests can still enjoy plenty of what New Plymouth has to offer with access to our Coastal Walkway, Pukekura Park and boutique shopping on our doorstep.
Regrettably gym access is also limited to those who are vaccinated and vaccine passports will need to be presented to hotel staff before gym keys are issued.
The hotel will carry out deep cleans from guest to guest stays and we are happy to provide you with a detailed schedule of this procedure.
The above policy applies to all people entering the hotel including delivery staff and contractors.
